Revolve plans

Heck, I do wish it was a Vectorworks file. Even though my best friend is one of AutoDesk's senior programmers and I can get a copy whenever i want, I haven't had AutoCad on one of my computers since about '02.

I also built two 16' revolves for my Seussical design. I used a lot of the information found on this forum, and added my own ideas on how to construct the wedges. I plan on only keeping one of the units, and have adjusted my design to accommodate a large single revolve in the future (you may notice the odd edges). Hey folks! A million apologies to all who thought I had forgotten them. Please follow this link:<broken link removed by mod, see alternate link below>

it's my personal file sharing thingy. This is a zip file; it contains an AutoCAD v14 file along with a bunch of PDF's. No matter what your computer skills you should be able to open and print these. I'm offering these for free, as a member of ControlBooth. Feel free to use just like you would any public domain design. I have been and will continue to be slammed for the next three weeks. Feel free to post, ask, email a question but please don't expect an immediate answer.
Latest designer was 3 weeks late. Lights begins loading in on Tuesday and I don't even have all the flats built yet.

Note to Mods, feel free to edit, sticky, or do whatever to this post. Also feel free to rework the attached drawings, I don't know when I'll ever get to it.

Alternative download: View attachment 4572 .

[Link broken as at May 2014] A photo album with pictures of a similar design: https://picasaweb.google.com/108046...uthuser=0&feat=directlink#5661295922036708434 .
Advice-- spend extra on quality castors. Steel with encased bearings and hard rubber wheels. Key words: Strong, smooth, quiet and reliable.

This thread is an oldie but a goodie. I'm glad that it's stickied and I've referred many people here to help guide their turntable builds.

Creative Conners wants to add to the conversation, so we've developed a turntable design and are giving it away. Our Turntable Template is designed to work with our Revolver machine and center Pivot - but you can use it as a starting place for whatever turntable you may need for your show.

The design files are entirely free. Just visit our website to grab a copy of the files.
When you download the design packet you'll get DWG, VWX, STEP files, CNC files, and a bill of materials.

We also included some vendor suggestions with estimated pricing. You can see assembly instructions below.

This just showed up in my FB feed today from something that Vertigo Flying FX did that CC mentioned and I don't know how it slipped past me until now- but that is really pretty impressive.
