Richard Belzer

I met him when he worked at Big Apple Lights in the Bowery. They were a dealer for my line of dry ice fog machines and I ocassionally sub contracted them to light an event.

Rich was a part of the crew when BAL lit a boxing match in PA for CBS Sports Sunday TV. I had a second crew in upstate NY for ESPN boxing broadcast at the same time.

I remember when he was excited to be auditioning for Law & Order.

RIP my friend.

Sucks getting old.

I think that was a different Richard Belzer, though a gentleman by the same name was an early owner at BAL.

I do have to say that I did love Richard Belzer the Comedian. I remember watching him on Carson, back in the day.

As I view a page of an FB friend, I notice that a Rick Belzer was a co-friend and it indicates that Rick, who had at one time been the producer at The Candlewood Playhouse, where I now recall he went after Big Apple, had passed away in 2018. Heres a link
