RTS intercom

Hello All,
Its been too long since I have last logged on here and unfortunately I have returned with a problem. My college uses The RTS BTR-240 Wireless Intercom System. But are having some serious issues when more then one person has their belt pack with the talk on. I am aware that you can only have up to 8 users but we are not at that limit. When the multiple packs are in duel simplex (meaning both with the talk on) it echos terribly and drowns out any worlds from being distinguishable. Does anyone know why this is happening. We had these at my high school and had no such problems.

Does the "echo" sound like feedback? Is there a speaker open somewhere (vs a headset) that is directed back at a microphone/boom? Start by turning off one mic at a time (ptt), is it one specific belt pack that causes it to stop/start, or is it any combination?

Well its feedback and echoing. I don't really know how to describe it. I checked and it seems to be any combination.

I would start by disconnecting all the beltpacks except two (and see if the problem still persists), and make sure any speakers and PTTs are turned off at the master station. Is the system fed into an audio console, program audio, etc?
