Hi. I am a LD for a Band that is playing a small club, that has par 38's. I would like to add to the show. Is there attachments to scrollers to fit Par 38's. Would scrollers fit a 6 inch Fresnel?

You can get scrollers for 6" fresnels, they take a standard 7.5" frame. Par 38's seem to take a 6.5" frame and I don't know that I've ever seen scroller plates for that size. You may be able to get 6.25" scrollers to work though.

I also have to wonder if the typical Par38 can would support a 5 pound box hanging off the front. Then there is the cost. Here is a typical package:

What kind of control does the club have for the Par38's, and would they let you bring in some extra lighting, like side trees or back lighting trees.

If you're buying, I think you'd be hard-pressed to find any color scroller solution that's cheaper than just buying more PAR's and gelling them differently or buying a bunch of LED PAR's.

If it's just a one-off gig and you won't be there often, just rent some LED PARs to add. If it's only got PAR38s it's probably a really low ceiling. Just get some LED PARs from your local rental house and add those to the rig, it'll probably be more economical and provide less frustration. Scrollers (and the fans in them) might also put too much noise in to the mics on stage in a small club, so again another win for LED PARs.

They have a Chauvet chase controller (all of the 38's are hooked up to one channel). The party lights are on different channels. I bring in my own equipment (Dimmers) and a Chauvet Obey 10 to control them. I am looking to upgrade the control aspect. Has anyone tried my DMX? What is your thoughts on it?
