selador lustr vs vivid

Anyone ever do a side by side with the Lustr and Vivid? I have sold Vivids in the past, but never any Lustrs,

How would you compare them side by side?

Great question. I'm trying to come to terms with it myself.

A Lustr+ is a Vivid with the orange LEDs replaced by white, so in most of the spectrum they will have very similar characteristics. Where they differ would be in the pastels. The way it was explained to me at CUE (or at least the way I interpreted it), the Lustr+ is a good choice for an all-LED rig, or where available power is limited, or in a new facility where there isn't already an investment in conventional dimming. A Vivid may be a better choice in a hybrid rig or retrofit situation where the pastels could be provided by blending with an unfiltered or lightly filtered conventional. I'm contemplating Vivids and ETC Fresnels lamped at 375W. Kind of the best of both worlds since a D40 can't do what a fresnel can, but neither can a fresnel efficiently produce the saturated colours of an LED efficiently.
