In our auditorium, we have two Telex FMR-150 mics attached to a Telex AD-200 antenna splitter, which connects to two antennas on our catwalk. We also have a number of Shure LX4 receivers, which have antennas attached to them. My question is, is it possible to use the two remaining outputs on the Antenna splitter to connect to the Shure mics to improve their range? Both systems are VHF, I believe.
The LX's are VHF, I don't know about the Telex's. Yes, you should be able to do this, assuming the antennas are properly tuned (ie. both systems are VHF).
They would need to be within a certain range of frequencies, depending on the design of the LX channels. But yeah, assuming the Telex frequencies are relatively close to the Shure frequencies, it should be fine.
