I still know the jacks by their metric names, comming from a background in america all my family knows is the imperial measurement system. It was hell going through school however I have learnt the metric system.

I agree with you mixsa, I hate the word "cord" when refering to a cable.... same as the phrase "touch base" really irritates me, i dont know why!

1/4 inch is 6.5mm
and the smaller one is 3.5mm.

6.3mm actually; but I usually say "six and a half".

i actually almost wrote "about 6.5" but yeah true.
