Spanset life span

hello need some advice, i have a lot of spa set that i purchase un 2017, they are brand new and still in the box. Is it still safe to use it for rigging? I understand span set life span is about 3-5yr. Any advice / suggestion please?

Not sure where you got that lifespan from, but that’s completely inaccurate. If they pass inspection they are good to use. Since they are new and unused they should easily pass a visual inspection of having no damage.

TLDR: spansets do not degrade as a matter of time, but as a matter of care and use.

I'll just point out that polyester slings have declined in popularity to GAC Flex slings, on the basis of fire resistance.
