    A designation on the stage deck showing placement of furniture and architectural objects or other scenic elements, and sometimes actors (such as in a lighting special). Painted or made with tape, often are L-shaped on the upstage legs of table and chairs.

    On the purchase line of a fly system, may be either 3/4" tape wrapped around the rope, or a colored ribbon transversely inserted through it. (ribbon spike)
