Stage clock/timer, "wedge" form-factor

Hey all,

I'm looking to pick up a device to give lecturers / stand-up comedians / whoever an on-stage clock - with both clock-time and timer modes - in a wedge form-factor to keep the display within their field of vision while out of audience view.

Only thing I've found after some Googling is the ART Stompwatch ( https://artproaudio.com/product/stompwatch-professional-stage-clock-and-timer ). I feel this would work fine for comedians who stay anchored center-stage, but would be less ideal for conference setting where lecturers move across our 40' stage.

Any suggestions for devices that meet this spec. but have a larger display?

Thanks in advance!!

Not a wedge format, but I think you're looking for something like this. Possibly large text but if you search "chronometer" on Amazon, you'll find all kinds of options.

@flashbang_mtl
Have you considered a larger display on the face of a balcony. shrouded on four sides from the audience's perspective?

I'm tempted to put something in the glass-fronted projection booth just behind console positions, but with aggressive lighting from FOH I feel like it would be impossible (or, at least, uncomfortable to focus on)
Could work well if it was an internally illuminated source of light but not with an external source shining / reflecting / glaring off of it.

Setup your front stage wash fixtures to start turing off, starting with the outer 2 st L and st R, and 20 seconds later extinguish the next inner 2... until the speaker(s) are plunged into darkness.

We own two of these.... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RN6NVN3/?tag=controlbooth-20

They fit perfectly infront of a wedge and work great. On the rare occasion they want it in "timer mode".... we actually just unplug it and plug it back in between comedians then it counts up from 12:00. Its flashing unfortunately, but it works. We have only done this a handful of times.

We have used the ipad apps and thrown an ipad in front of the wedge. That works too. (Just an example, there are a few apps that do this) https://apps.apple.com/us/app/presentime-synchronized-presentation-timer/id777654864

I’ve used this app with luck for a while. Set a cheap iPad on the front edge of the deck. Trigger it via my phone. And you can send text messages too.

This one I looked at once and was impressed. Plus consider casting via airplay to a display of suitable size or a pair on balcony front edge or one on a guitar amp tilt back stand in front of them

I have used the Limitimer system from DSAN, for cueing talent on remote broadcasts. It works great for count up/count down and green/yellow/red, but it cannot show clock time. Clock displays are usually a separate device, but having two displays might be the best approach at the most reasonable cost. A computer and screen could get the job done, depending on what kinds of software you can find.
