Strobe

Hey CB,

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a cheap, bright, down-and-dirty strobe light. I don't need to control speed or anything, just on/off. Preferably under $70 (I know, that's low but it's a tight budget).

Best bet would be to search for an old used Diversitronics Super Strobe.
They are not DMX compatible and have been around forever, so there should be some old ones around for cheap.

Here's one for $150. You could probably get one cheaper if you have the time.

Update: I found this on Amazon for only $75 when I purchased it. Seems to be of quality.

Looks like a "fire across line" style strobe, so it should be plenty bright. Be aware that it may not be UL approved which is more of a liability issue than anything that would affect performance. Let us know how it works out, and if it has any certs or UL stickers, other than the line cord. Darn good price.
