Sorry! Just wanted to reaffirm. Thats what I've called it, and that's what we label it as here in this lighting rental shop.

The various names that have been given are interesting for educational purposes and fun to pass around, but I feel that it is more important to speak the "speak", that the local focusing crew understand and use.

Great point. It sounds like we've found another item with a wide variety of local terms. Best thing to do is just use the term the people in your area use.
