Hello everyone,
I'm the props girl for a production of Sweeney Todd and I'm curious if anyone had any suggestions on how to build the bird cage that Anthony smashes? Do you think I have to build one for him to smash every night of the show, or has anyone come up with a good idea for one that can be breakaway and repaired nightly? Haven't been able to find anyone describing how they managed this. The director doesn't want it to just rip apart and would prefer he really look like he's breaking it. I'm kind of leery about telling the actor to "break it, but not really!", but I suppose it can't be helped. We have very little budget but I'm pretty good at building stuff from whatever is laying around.
Thanks in advance
