    Abbrev. TWG, a type of suspended ceiling made of wire rope woven on ~2'" centers, weight-supporting, and allowing a lighting fixture to be mounted anywhere and shot through the grid. Most often used in experimental and black box theatres.

    Also called a Izenour Grid, as it was first proposed at Yale by George Izenour, United States Patent 3181274.
