Hey, I just skimmed the whole post so sorry if any art of this is a repeat. Yeah, it seems that with a lot of math ( that we just did actually, yay chem!) that you would in fact have an increase in the mass. And it would just come down to more specifically whether or not you would notice it. When your doing most gas law calculations, you assume that the mass of the gas is negligable and you don't count it. However when it is under so much pressure and possibly in a liquid state, it starts to matter more. I'm pretty sure that something like this was said, but I've had to much math today to go read all the calculations.
