Always follow the truss manufacturer's specifications.
Commonly, here's what's used:
A 5/8-11 Grade 8 Bolt, 1 1/2" to 2 1/2" long with 15/16" Hex Head.
Then, depending on the gusset plates of the truss, either two 1/8" thick D-washers (shown below) or two standard 5/8" flat washers.
Finally, a 5/8-11 Grade 8 Nut.
