Hi All,
I'm updating a course which primarily focuses on Lighting and Sound and looking for a textbook. I have a few I'm reviewing, but finding one would be the ideal choice for college students.
Ideally I'd like it to cover the history of both fields, design theory, electrics and signal flow, programming and mixing, load in and set up of a show and finally the latest technologies (digital mixing boards (sound), media servers and pixel mapping, etc. for lighting.
I know I'm probably searching for something that does not exist, so if I went with a text with more of the standard "Technical Theater" fields, what other print sources might you suggest?
I appreciate your input.
Shannon
