[h3]What are Categories?[/h3]
Categories are lists of entries that have something in common (that commonality is the literal name of the category, e.g., a category called Polar Patterns would contain the entries cardioid and omnidirectional).

[h3]Fundamentals of Categories[/h3]
  • Categories are a virtual list of entries.
  • Entries can belong to multiple Categories
  • Categories are Case-Sensitive (for now)
  • Categories must to be linked to manually in the forums, the term won't autolink to a Category list (for now)

[h3]Adding Categories to an entry[/h3]
When you add or edit an entry, at the bottom of the entry, you can add Categories. Simply click the box icon on the toolbar (img]http://www.controlbooth.com/vault/images/editor/bb_category.gif[/img]) and it will add [noparse][/noparse] to your current text cursor location. Inside that CATEGORY bbcode, you can type the name of the Category. If you want add an additional category, you have to click at same box icon again (Make sure your cursor isn't still inside the first CATEGORY bbcode)

If you go to: Categories - ControlBooth

you will see the complete list of Categories that exist based on the entries made in the wiki.

The forum only shows the categories that have something written in the header of the category list. Look at the hardware category, it has some custom text in the header.
