Using piezo speakers in small prop pieces

Hey there,
I was trying to find a way to put speakers in some dried out gourds and was suggested to use piezo speakers. I got some and was able to connect them, but they are much to quiet. Is there any small amps that could be battery powered that would work in this situation? Or even are there any other solutions to similar challenges that others have tried?

There are quite a few smaller rechargeable Bluetooth enabled speakers like this with an 1/8" input that could probably fit, though can't say I've ever tried "pimping my gourd" as it were...

Piezo devices are high impedance. They are voltage driven, not current driven. Most small, battery amps are designed for low impedance loads, current but not a lot of voltage. Use a matching transformer between amp and speaker.

Piezos are tweeters or buzzers. You need cone drivers. The BlueTooth speaker idea is interesting - some of those things are surprisingly listenable. However I don't know if they will be loud enough to be heard across a stage let alone out in the hall.
