I believe the shortcut is "=" and then snap to your origin then hold shift to snap a straight vertical (or horizontal line) voila!

In 12.5(with my settings) I select the item(s) I want mirrored. Press <=>. You'll get a small crosshair as your pointer. Click once to start drawing your line. When your happy with where your line is, click again and it places your mirror. Any angle will do.
