I don't recall seeing any talk of using video/projection as lighting recently here, but have heard it else where (it comes up on the Light Talk from time to time). The rig is quite impressive (what little of the back end I saw), and the results are stunningly seamless.

Freaking amazing video and now rewatching the series. It looks just as amazing, but I really notice the reflections on his shiny helmet.
Wouldve been impossible to clean up with green screen which I imagine would've meant his helmet couldn't have been quite as shiny.
