Agreed, especially in this case with those circular/DIN connectors.
But! it may be worth mentioning that later packs used
DMX512 as well as their own digital
protocol, Ultraplex, limited to 32 channels per stream.
ETA (of Twinsburg, OH) in its time, was a very good 2nd tier manufacturer (think lightronics or CAE/
Leprecon), and their equipment lives on and on. They got out of the
dimmer business entirely in the 1990s and today only make power-conditioning equipment. A search yields lots of information on here.
