Virtual Light Lab vs. Light Grid 1.0

Anybody have an opinion on these lighting simulators? I am looking for a program to give me a better perspective of how lighting works and one that I could use to teach my high school students. I saw the Virtual Light Lab by West Side Systems and Light Grid 1.0 by Stage Research. Any thoughts would be welcomed. Thank you all for your help. The professionals on this forum are really amazing and I greatly appreciate your time, information and experience.
