VL2000 Power Supply

Recently I replaced the lamps in four VL2000 spots and had an odd problem. Three went ok but the fourth would not power up. Turns out the 24v power supply had died and had to be replaced. Before I powered the unit back up I put its old lamp back in in case the lamp caused the problem. Everything has been fine since. Before I put the new lamp in this unit again I wanted to reach out and see if anyone else has seen this. The main power supply and the ballast are powered separately so I'm wondering if this was a case of coincidence rather than an actual problem.

I've been having some VL2000 issues lately too. Interested to see how this pans out.
Mine was the switching PSU, based on the entire fixture not powering up.
Is yours just the lamp not striking or no power at all?

Same thing. No power. The motherboard will control the ballast and strike so no 24v means the ballast doesn't get a start signal.
