Media Server

A Media Server is a computer that is dedicated to delivering image and video data to other clients, usually cued by the lighting console. In a technical theater environment a media server (such as Barco/High End System's Axon, just one of many available) would serve data to lights such as the HES DL.1 or DL.2 moving head luminaries. Media Servers can also be found inside the light itself, as it is in the DL.3.
