A type of lamp base that consists of two cylindrical posts. Not to be confused with bipin, which has shorter and smaller diameter contacts.
Two sizes are common:
medium bipost, such as the 1000W EGT used in many studio 6" Fresnels (G22 base)
And mogul bipost, such as the 2000W CYX, most often used in 8" 2K Fresnels. (G38 base)
