polyurethane

Polyurethane is an incredibly resilient, flexible, and durable polymer, that, depending on its makeup, might take liquid form (like a wood finish), foam form (like foam insulation for your house), or solid form (like caster wheels).

Polyurethane glue is type of adhesive commonly recognized by the trade names like Excel™ and Gorilla Glue™. Activated by moisture, it is very strong and should last as long as the materials that it has bonded. In the bottle, it has a shelf life of six to twelve months.
Polyurethane wood finish is a widely used furniture finish that dries more quickly than varnish (so you don't have to worry as much about dust settling in the wet finish), flows better than varnish (so brush marks are more likely to disappear) and when correctly applied is more durable than varnish.
