Bates - Printable version

As in "Bates connector," another name for 2P&G stagepin connector. From Union Connector's website

The pin connector is sometimes referred to as a "Bates" connector. This stems from the years [approx. 1930s] that Union Connector manufactured connectors for Bates Electric in California.

Sometime, probably in the late 1990s, Marinco/Advanced Devices Inc. resurrected the name to use as their own brand.
