Bunk

1) A sleeping berth on a tour bus.

2) A full unit of lumber. The actual number of sticks or sheets is dependent upon dimension. For instance, a bunk of 2x4's is 294 sticks, and a bunk of 3/4" ply is 49 sheets. The main advantage is the volume discount of buying lumber in such large quantities, whereas the main disadvantage is that several sheets or sticks are often in less-than-desirable condition due to damage from shipping or milling defects.
