Part I covers electrical installations and is fully integrated with Part II, a series of several hundred standards for the evaluation of electrical equipment. Electrical standards under Part III cover systems and equipment for distribution and transmission. Part IV standards form the Objective Based Industrial Electrical Code and Part VI covers the inspection of existing residential occupancies.
