Chyron

A Chryron, also known as a lower third is used in the broadcast industry (and even in some home movies) as the tites in (most commonly) the lower third of the screen. The can show scores, names of presenters, and anything text, some even include video loops to make the chryron more interesting. Manufacturer's website.
