Strand Century/Strand Lighting 22xx (2209/2212/etc) Sold under the Lekolite Brand
These fixtures use a standard TP-22 G9.5 Socket (OSRAM Part# TP-22XL or equivilent)
You will need:
- New TP-22
- Philips Screwdriver (and possibly a Slot screw driver, depending on the screws on your U-Ground/2P&G/Twistlock connector)
- About 15 minutes
1. Disconnect the Fixture from its power source.
2. Remove the Lamp Cap from the fixture body. [Image 1]
3. Open the connector, and disconnect the Neutral and Hot wires, while leaving the Ground attached. Be sure to release the strain relief. [Image 2]
4. Remove 1/2 of the 'Lamp Stabilizer' by removing the two screws and nuts that connect it to the other 1/2. [Image 3]
5. Remove the two screws holding the Socket and other 1/2 of the Stabilizer to the Heatsink/Cap Interior. [Image 4]
6. Flip the Cap around, and remove the three screws holding the piece of black plastic onto the back of the cap. Slide it down the tail about 6 inches. [Image 5]
7. The TP-22 should now be free. It will take a little wiggling, and tugging to get the 18" connector leads all the way free, as the original TP-22's on these fixtures (if yours are still original) have metal crimps about 6" down the leads, which tend to bind inside the cap. [Image 6]
8. Insert the leads of a new TP-22 through the hole in the stabilizer plate, the hole in the cap, and thend feed it through the tail sleeve, until the ends are visible at your connector. (Hint: If your TP-22's arrive pre-stripped, cover the stripped ends in a light adhesive tape, so the metal doesn't catch inside the sleeve.) [Image 7]
9. Tighten down the Hot and Neutral wires inside your connector. [Image 8]
10. Re-assemble the cap in reverse order: Plastic Back Plate, Screw down the TP-22 & Stabilizer, Re-attach the other 1/2 of the Stabilizer using the screws and nuts (lock washer side in). [Image 9]
11. This is a great time to bench focus this light!
Altman 360Q/3.5Q (Non-Speed Cap)
These fixtures use a standard TP-220 G9.5 Socket (OSRAM Part# TP-220XL or equivilent (Altman P/N: 97-1575)

You will need:
- New TP-220
- Medium Slot Screwdriver
- About 15 minutes
1. Disconnect the Fixture from its power source.
2. Remove the Lamp Cap from the fixture body. [Image 1]
3. Open the connector, and disconnect the Neutral and Hot wires, while leaving the Ground attached. Be sure to release the strain relief. [Image 2]
4. Remove the three screws from the rear of the Lamp Cap, this will release the plate holding the Socket. Be sure not to adjust the centre screw at this point, as it will futz the existing lamp alignment. [Image 3]
5. Release the strain relief from the Lamp Cap (if, indeed, the cap has any strain relief left...) Missing strain relief can be re-ordered using Altman P/N: 55-HEYSR6P3-4 [Image 4]
6. Remove the two screws holding the TP-220 to the plate. [Image 5]
7. The TP-220 should now be free. It may take a little wiggling, and tuging to get the 18" connector leads all the way free. [Image 6]
8. Insert the leads of a new TP-220 through the hole in the plate (it's hidden under that little metal rectangle), the hole in the cap, and then feed it through the tail sleeve, until the ends are visible at your connector. (Hint: If your TP-220's arrive pre-stripped, cover the stripped ends in a light adhesive tape, so the metal doesn't catch inside the sleeve.) [Image 7]
9. Tighten down the Hot and Neutral wires inside your connector. [Image 8]
10. Re-assemble the cap in reverse order: Screw down the TP-220 to the Plate, Re-engage the Strain Relief, Using the three screws, attach the Plate back to the Lamp Cap. Be sure that your lamp is CENTERED within the cap, the plate is designed to sit one way only. Tighten the screws roughly the same amount each half-turns at a time, and the lamp should align mostly level. Tweak the alignment as nessecary.[Image 9]
11. This is a great time to bench focus this light!
