Component Video

A three-wire video signal which transmits the video information in its basic components via luma (brightness) and two-color-difference signals. This is often seen as YCbCr where Y=luminance (black/white/gray), Cb=blue difference value, and Cr=red difference value. Other variations include: YUV (analog), YPbPr, YDbDr (SECAM), and YIQ (outdated).
