Ellipsoidal Reflector Flood

Also referred to simply as a Scoop, due to its shape. An open faced flood light fixture used for large, uncontrolled washes of light. Consists of little more than a large, bell shaped bowl of spun aluminum with provisions for a lamp socket and hanging yoke. Often used for lighting drops and cyc's. Several varieties exist using A, PS and double-ended T type lamps. Diameters range from 10" to 18". Lamp position is typically fixed but "focusing" versions exist that allow the lamp to be moved axially from the focal point as to vary the spread of the wash.
