Lighting. An array of male connectors (almost exclusively 2P&G-20A regardless of what the venue uses) connected to circuits downstage of the proscenium (Coves, Balcony Rail, Box Booms, etc.) in a "road house" to allow touring dimmers to control fixtures in these locations. These circuits must have independent over-current protection [NEC Article 520.50C: Road Show Connection Panel (A Type of Patch Panel)], as they constitute permanent building wiring.

With the advent of DMX and associated distribution devices (splitters, combiners, routers, and what not) and control over Ethernet, today it is more common for a "road console" to control the venue's dimmers that service these remote locations.
