This is a measurement of an audio systems ability to reproduce an output signal in comparison to the systems original input signal at a constant amplitude. This is a method to see exactly how a system's components (speakers, amplifiers, processing, etc.) alter the original input signal, and effect the overall quality of the audio signal coming out of a system.
