Iroquois Theatre

A newly-opened theatre in Chicago seating 1,724 that was the site of the worst fire in US history on December 30, 1903. Approximately 602 lives were lost. Lessons learned in the aftermath of this tragedy are directly responsible for many of the life safety regulations and procedures in place today.
