lamp house

A term usually used when discussing high powered followspots and projectors to define the chamber in which the light source resides. For safety, access to a fixture's lamp house is often restricted, either via a keylock as in Strong Gladiators and Super Trouper IIs, or Holt head screws on Xenon Super Troupers, or Torx screws on Lycian Xenon followspots.
