Mezzanine

Typically a smaller balcony-type structure that is located between the main audience area and the "real" Balcony. Mezzanines are usally 1/2 to 1/3 the size of the actual balcony.
Architectually a Meazzanine can be a floor of a building located between the ground floor and the second floor < or "first" floor, for those of you across the ponds.> that does not cover the entire area of the first floor.
