Peavey Electronics Corporation, one of the largest audio equipment manufacturers in the world, was founded in 1965 by Hartley Peavey. The company is headquartered in Meridian, Mississippi, where it also manufactures many of its products. Peavey designs and maufactures a wide variety of products, including audio mixers, power amplifiers, guitar/instrument amplifiers, equalizers, and speakers. Peavey owns several companies, most notably Trace Elliot and Crest Audio.
