Projection Mapping

The process by which a portion of a projected image is digitally eliminated by applying a black masking so that the image is only shown where desired. This is most often used for three dimensional object projection where the surface to be projected upon is uneven. This can be accomplished through the use of software or hardware between the source material and the projector.
