Skil saw

A portable circular saw, of which there are two basic types, sidewinders and wormdrives. Skil was the company that popularized them so it has become the generic term for all circular saws. Sidewinders have the blade connected directly to the electric motor's output shaft. They are much lighter for easier duty. Wormdrives utilizes a gearbox and a worm gear to drive the blade. This is a much heavier saw for rougher duty jobs.
