A "Halo" is a body-micing technique where an elastic or similar loop is used to keep the microphone capsule in place on a performer for wireless micing. This halo is worn on the performer's head holding the microphone capsule in a similar location to the typical hairline mic placement. Sometimes the halo is the best method to secure the mic to the performer.

As with the hairline mic technique, the wire from the halo is typically run down the performer's neck to the hidden transmitter on the performer. Sometimes people attach the wire of the microphone along the halo, and other times not. The halo, and wire are typically hidden by the performer's hair (or wig/tupee) or hat.
