As-Builts

A set of architectual drawings that show actual dimensions and positions of elements in a facility. "As-Builts" differ from construction drawings in that they are created after construction is completed and reflect any and all deviations from the construction drawings.

Many times the first TD to operate in a facility is shouldered with the responsibility of creating As-builts as it is a time-consuming tasks that most Architects and GC's do not include in their bids. However, preparation of as-built drawings (by the Contractor) can be included as a task in the Project Specifications.
