Also known as a Double-headed nail a Duplex Nail is a Common nail with a secondary "head" which prevents it from becoming flush with surface it's installed in. In Scenic Carpentry Duplex nails are often employed as hinge pins and retension pins since their unique heads allow for easier grasping.
