house preset

In theatre, the configuration of lighting, sound, and carpentry cues that should be active when the house opens to the audience. Traditionally, this would mean the Show Curtain is flown in, Curtain Warmers and the House Lights are on, and any Preshow Music is playing. In shows without a Show Curtain, the house preset state can be much more involved, as work on the stage must be done before the house can open.
