1. Automated lighting programming term. To preset the non-intensity parameters of a fixture with the intensity at zero, so one doesn't see colors/gobos/etc. moving into place as the fixture fades up. Most modern lighting consoles have a method to do this automatically. On older consoles, one would write the desired look, record it; then take the intensity channels to zero and record that as the previous cue. 2. Actor/Director. Place where a performer is directed to stand, according to blocking.

3. Dancer. Walk though the paces of the choreography, without dancing full out.
