Shock : Sudden and disturbing effect on the emoitions, physical reactions, etc. This includes Acute Shock, Circulatory Shock and Electric Shock.
Shock (acute): A Dangerous Psychological condition in response to a terrifying, dangerous or traumatic event.
Shock (Circulatory): Life-Threatening medical condition when low bloody perfusion to tissues causes cellular injury and/or inadequate tissue function.
Shock (electric): This occurs when an individual comes into contact with an electrical current and electrical energy flows through part of the individuals body. A shock can be very harmful, and potentially fatal (electrocution).
A common misconception is that higher voltages cause worse shocks. The damage is not done by voltage, however is caused by current. 50mA : Begins to be extremely painful, potential of electrocution becomes much greater. Fibrillation in adults.
