A type of speaker cabinet specifically designed to reproduce low frequencies--below 200 HZ and often 80-20 Hz. In pro PA applications, a sub is a box containing one or two 15" or 18" drivers. Although some boxes are designed to be flown, must sit on the floor so they will better couple with the room.
