Another method of hiding a backdrop where flyspace is limited. (Westcoasting is another.) A secondary batten or set of lift lines is attached to the bottom of the drop. When flown out, this secondary batten causes the drop to fold in half, and taking up half the height.

Alternatively, the secondary batten may be attached to the drop one third of the total height from the stage deck, which will fold the drop in thirds.

Cycloramas are often tripped to release stress on the fabric when in the stored position.
